KATIE PETRINEC is a children’s book author who enjoys incorporating real-life experiences into her stories. She finds inspiration in her loved ones and her dreams. She is a graduate of Jacksonville University with a degree in Marine Science and has worked in the science field for more than twenty years.   

Katie is best known for her educational children’s book series, Mya and Crash.  Katie currently resides in St. Augustine, Florida with her husband, two kids, a leopard gecko, and a black cat named Hocus. Aside from writing books, Katie enjoys making jewelry and loves eating pizza.
